She was intolerant of the behaviour of a victim and appeared to have no understanding of the effect of abuse when the victim was grown. For someone who was seemingly a prosecuting Attourney and whose downfall was a child abuse case, she appeared to overlook events in her own life, pretending outwardly nothing happened. I could not understand the weakness of the lead character. Found it easy to distinguish between characters.Ĭould you see Cry Wolf being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be? What about Joyce Bean’s performance did you like? Can't say I am often surprised at the outcome, but I still enjoy this type of book, not ,ucl thinking involved and great to have on whilst I do chores, cooking etc. Personally I prefer the more crime based books albeit there is always some romantic elements. More of a romance novel with family dynamics and southern 'manners' featuring heavily. Whilst I have not checked, I would imagine this is fairly early in Ms Hoag's foray into crime. If you’ve listened to books by Tami Hoag before, how does this one compare? Bit too much romance for me and I would not have missed several hours being cut out. Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?ĭespite the jaw dropping attitude to child abuse by the lead character I stuck with it and generally enjoyed the story.
